So I'm on Day 3 of the new job. I'm typing this blog post on the laptop I was given, which was definitely an unexpected and pleasant surprise. I was given post it notes, paperclips, my own office phone and an office! It's all very exciting because you know how the saying goes- you can take the teacher out of the classroom, but you can't take away her love of post it notes. Seriously, if I was allowed to, I could easily have an unhealthy collection of post it notes. I look forward to Christmas because I know my mom will put an assortment of cute post it notes in my stocking. I purposely do not buy cards from Target because the post it notes are stationed near the card aisle and I simply can't stand the cuteness of it all. So, yeah, the job. I'm getting used to it. There's a learning curve for sure. Apparently I get bathroom breaks and lunch breaks, neither of which I have taken since starting. The person helping me get started had to send me to lunch. I was so confused I just went to the cafeteria inside the building and got a hot dog and chips. I could have left and wandered the city! Honestly, I just knew I couldn't find my way back. My real office is located in Canton, which I went to today. The people are nice and a lot of my work is done in the field, so I'm not sure how often I'll be there, but it's nice to have a place to call mine :)
The kids are doing great! Isaac read to Katie this morning and the boys are getting more brave with her, which is not a good thing. They keep trying to pick her up. This.Is.Not.Good. But I'm so glad they love her :)
Katie is waking up so that's all I can write for today. I miss FB and seeing what's going on! But I'm glad I took the break. I'm very overwhelmed with work and it would be very easy for me to escape into Facebook Land :)
Our computer has been in the shop, so hopefully we will get it back SOON and I can post pictures :)
