The Afterbirth (Placenta pictures not included ;)

The home birth story in pictures was so long I decided to include the afterbirth pictures on their own post.

It took 35 minutes for the placenta to detach, so in the meantime we moved from the tub to the bed. Once we were on the bed Larry cut the cord and we waited. Katie nursed that entire time. Once she latched on in the bathtub she did not let go. She's been my best/easiest baby to nurse and I am so grateful for that! Once the cord was cut Larry got a chance to hold his little girl :)
After the placenta was taken care of we could let everyone in. The boys were so excited to see their baby sister! Jared and Grayson were ready to touch her right away, but Isaac stood back a little and smiled the entire time. :)

Katie decided to take a break so it was finally time for her newborn exam! I love this picture because you see that it's 10:04 by this point. I love that no one took Katie or rushed us at all. She was nursing and we were bonding and everything else could wait.

Jared took a picture with my phone while Larry fell asleep ;)

Our tech family (My dad took this picture- my parents were sitting on the other end of MegaBed during this time)
Isaac was very curious, but again, was not ready to touch her.

Checking her height
Weighing Katie! I thought for sure she was smaller than Jared, who was 6lbs, 11 oz. We finally figured out why everyone says she seems smaller- she's 21 inches long, which makes her a very skinny 7 lbs, 4 oz. The girl has no booty on her whatsoever!
I love this picture of her feet
Her first outfit!
Taking a nap with Daddy

Sweet girl

Love her toes!!
My sister came over a couple hours later.
Jared loves being a big brother :)
I was trying to pick out a bow for her and Jared picked this one out. Every time I'm going through the bows he chooses this one, it's definitely his favorite!

Larry took Katie downstairs to visit with my parents. They had come over the night I was in labor and stayed overnight. My dad went home at some point in the middle of the night. They stayed through the day of her birth and came back often the first few days as we needed help.
So skinny!
Happy in Daddy's arms :)
This was taken a few days later, but I wanted to post it here because we didn't get a picture of my Dad holding her and she's so sweet and little in his arms :)
