Update

mmm, watermelon!

No more bottles, no more formula!! We are so proud of Isaac. I've been dreading this transition for a long time. But he did great! He started the process on his own by refusing his nighttime bottle one evening. From there, each week we cut out one more bottle and then he refused his afternoon bottle, so it was all sippy cups. We finished off his formula yesterday and so far, he's been responding well to drinking whole milk. It gives me hope for potty training, my next big fear :)

He started off saying "Ba" for everything, but now it is has become more exclusive. He points at balls now and says "ba." He looks at you and grins, like he knows he did something right. You can also tell him to pick up the ball and he will pick one up. It's so awesome to see him aware of everything around him. He points at everything now! Also, in the car I've been opening the sunroof and I will say, "Where's the sky, Isaac?" He will point and look up, saying, "Bye" instead of Sky. He always waves good bye now when we tell him we are going bye-bye. And one last milestone- he no longer cries when we leave him at bedtime. He just sits there and watches as we leave, then talks himself to sleep. What a relief! He never cried for long anyway, as soon as the door closed he would stop.

That's just an update on recent happenings. Like I said in a previous post, he is growing and doing new things every day!
