Happy Birthday, Isaac

Genesis 21:1-7

¹ Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what He had promised. ² Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. ³ Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore him. ⁴When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him. ⁵Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

⁶ Sarah said, "God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me."

We have been so blessed this past year. It wasn't always easy and we had hard times, but not a day has gone by that I did not laugh at least once a day, thanks to Isaac. We will forever be thankful for his presence in our lives. He certainly lives up to his name, which means, "he who laughs." Everything about him makes us smile, from his laughter to his tantrums, which are far cuter than he intends for them to be. I've loved getting to know my little boy and I look forward to the years we have ahead to celebrate him.
