Pregnancy Brain

I've read about women who put their purse in the fridge, or forget where they are going once they get in the car, but it was only recently that I started to feel the true effects of "pregnancy brain."

A couple of very hectic weeks ago I forgot my purse at home and did not realize it until I arrived at work. Another day I forgot my lunch... and all of my snacks. That was actually a bigger deal to me than forgetting my purse! Determined to stay "on" I tried to focus more on a mental checklist before I left for work each day.

Monday morning I had several things I had to take to work with me. I managed to remember everything and was very proud of myself. Larry told me that evening that he had put all of my things together on the counter, so I wouldn't forget anything. I didn't even realize everything had been moved! It's a good thing I have him =)

However, he was not awake to help me the other morning when I got out of bed craving chocolate milk to the point that I simply could not go back to sleep. I managed to get the milk into the glass, but after I started pouring in the chocolate syrup, I wondered why the milk color wasn't changing. Turns out, Aunt Jemima's Pancake Syrup doesn't change your milk chocolaty brown! I got it right on the second try :)
