First Kicks

It's hard to believe, but the baby is 17 weeks old and growing! Last Friday night I was watching Wheel of Fortune and had just finished eating my Chinese food (go ahead, laugh) when I felt the baby kick! I felt two light pokes and froze. My heart starting beating so hard that I couldn't feel anything else, but I stayed still for the next 20 minutes. I have never felt anything like that before. I called Larry and told him, but said I might be crazy. The next morning I felt it again. What a wild feeling! I've felt the baby every day, at least a couple of times a day, since then. I can't wait until February 15, when we will get to see the baby on the ultrasound. I'm anxious to see how much it's changed since the blob we saw at 6 weeks :)

The picture above was taken a couple of weeks ago when it snowed. Yes, it snowed in Atlanta! (For those of you who haven't been over, that last picture is our awesome view from our apartment. It makes walking up three flights totally worth it!) Larry and I threw on our coats and went out to enjoy the change in weather. Of course, we had fun being silly (yes, that's the inside of a garbage can). After Larry did something sweet, we had a a snowball fight. He won, though, since he had gloves and my hands froze after throwing 2 snowballs :)

Also, this past week we received the title to our Corolla. We now have no more car payments! Whoohoo :) We are now tackling student loans, which will be paid off in 6 years, maximum. It seems like a long time to us, since we paid everything else off in 7 months. We figure our oldest child will only be 6 years old, and it doesn't seem so bad then.

Thanks for checking our blog and we'll continue to keep you posted as my belly and baby grow!
