Sink Fun

We've suspected all along that TV and computer games trigger Isaac's seizures. We decided on Friday to cut out all TV and computer/electronic time for a week to see if it makes a difference. So, what do you do when you have three boys and no TV or computers? You destroy the house!! Just kidding, but not really.

I was emptying and loading the dishwasher when Isaac pulled a chair over to see the sink. He loves the sprayer, so I let him help me rinse off the dishes as I put them away. His shirt got wet, so he took that off, which prompted his brother to do the same. The next thing I knew, Jared was hollering "All Aboard!!!" When he saw what fun Isaac was having at the sink, ALL the chairs got moved again so they could play at the sink. Yes, things got wet and I ended up using the mop to clean up, but man, they had a blast!! I love watching my boys play like this. I feel like I can see the brain cells bursting as they get new textures and new experiences by trying new things.

(Notice the cup on the edge missing a bite. We had the "Please drink from the cup, do not eat the cup" life lesson.)

Isaac was pretending to cook a pizza. He was very proud of his finished "pizza!"*

By the end, the empty honey bear, water stopper, cups, etc etc were in the sink. The next day Larry told me he had to fish the honey bear lid out of the garbage disposal. Oops!
