Day 17: Roswell Park and Larry's Show

June 16
Larry was asked to drum for a band that has been doing some shows for North Fulton Charities. They recently did one last show for the summer just for fun. And it was a LOT of fun! We dropped Larry off to get set up and I took the boys to the park.
*Side note: Today was the day that Isaac and Jared decided to play instead of take a nap. Just let me tell you, it was a ROUGH afternoon until those kids hit this playground. I feel so traumatized by their behavior from skipping that nap that they will be 24 and I'll probably be calling them up, "Did you get your nap today? You better take a nap!"

Anyway, this park was new for us and they LOVED it.

Jared pretending to read :)

Jared was closing his eyes, squeezing them tight, looking straight up, and smiling while he was swinging. He's a goofball!
Trying to decide what to do next....
Isaac helped Jared get down. He's so good to his brother.
I love this picture because it's so them- running together into their next new adventure!
I had to take a picture of the playground- it was awesome! Behind that one is a separate playground that's smaller PLUS one more small playground for little guys, all within eyeshot of each other.

Best friends!

Jared kept slowly walking up to the dinosaur, peeking in his mouth, then running away. By this point he had gotten quite brave and smack the dino on the head several times, then run :)
There are SO many ball fields at this park, so the boys had to stop and watch before we left.
From there we went to Larry's show. The boys were famished so they got a treat.

Love this one... he loved watching the band!

Jared chillin and watching the band play. He was much more serious :)
The band- they had a huge turnout! The outside sitting area was packed!
I married a drummer... how did that happen? He played awesome!
After the show a wife of another band member stopped to tell me how great Larry did. She said she loved to watch him play and he played as though there was some big secret he wasn't telling anyone. He clearly was having a great time! She's right- I can watch him play and feel like I want to play the drums!
