Day 8: Hiking Kennesaw Mountain

Wow, well this was a terrible idea! Just kidding... but not really. My expectations and reality were really off on this adventure. I thought we would go on a nice, leisurely stroll and then suddenly find ourselves overlooking the top of a beautiful mountain. Just let me tell you, it takes some muscle to get up a mountain and I was exhausted by the time we got there! (Carrying a 22 lb baby on my back didn't help much, either! I finally did give Grayson to Larry, but then Jared was tired, so I carried a 25 lb baby instead!)

The boys frolicking through a meadow. Or something like that.

Already taking a break from our trek from the parking lot. We hadn't even made it to the trail yet!

Oh but the laughs :)
Jared walking with his hand in his pocket, because he's cool like that you know.
Isaac reading the sign.
We saw a deer! Isaac didn't understand the rarity of this. He walked away saying "I'm going to see more animals!"

He can't just walk past a sign anymore (and I'm NOT complaining about that!)

My baby Grayson

Taking a break
The view!
Exploring on the mountainside while Daddy ran down the mountain and through the woods to find our van and rescue us!

In the end we laughed, but man that was a rude awakening for me! Good times exploring :)
