Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween! We weren't sure how Isaac would do trick or treating, but we had a GREAT time! Friends from church invited us to their neighborhood to trick or treat with them. Isaac loved his costume when he picked it out at the store, but for some reason this past week he has refused to wear it. He calls it the cowboy and alternates between saying, "Moooo" and "Yee yaw!" when he wears it. We bribed him with candy tonight and after some serious thinking (and I do mean serious thinking- he had his hand under his chin and everything!) he decided to wear it. 

We had the boys in the wagon and didn't have them buckled in at first. Jared got up and turned himself around so that the seat back was covering his lap. Too silly. 

We met up at a neighbor's house in our friends' neighborhood. The kids were all so cute!

Ready to trick or treat!

Getting some candy! He started saying Trick or Treat and Thank You! At the first house he didn't understand that he was supposed to put the candy in his pumpkin and not actually eat the candy yet. We let him open his first candy, which was Nerds, and they lasted him the entire trick or treating experience :)

Jared got a piece of candy, too! He chewed on the wrapped candy and eventually got it open. It made quite the mess :) But he was so cute!!

The experience was so much fun and a lot better than either of us had expected! We are looking forward to next year!
