Congratulations, Alliance!!

As many of you know, Larry marches in Alliance, an all-ages drum corps. After a successful season they just returned home champions from finals in Rochester, New York! They won Best Drumline, Best Drum Major, Best Overall Effect, and Overall Class A Champion! 

I am so proud of Larry and the rest of the Alliance members. They rehearsed most weekends including Saturdays from 9 in the morning until 10 at night, and Sundays from 9 in the morning until 5 in the evening. This year, they even included some Friday night rehearsals. (Yes, all rehearsals take place outside in the summer heat!) It's hard on the members to sacrifice time with their families (Larry struggled with this a lot once Isaac came along), so it is wonderful to see their hard work pay off. 

Larry has marched with Alliance for three years now, and he is also a Co-Caption Head (meaning he teaches the drumline) and he works with Alan (a good friend of his) to write the music for Alliance. He loves marching and being able to write music that he gets to perform.
