Isaac and Daddy the day of his doctor visit
1. First well visit check-up. We found out he had some jaundice
2. Went back 2 days later- jaundice levels went down :)
3. He had gunk coming out of his left eye. We found out he has a blocked tear duct and as a result, he had an infection. We gave him eye drops and now his eye looks fine. We have to massage under his eye a few times a day to get the tear duct to open. Also, he has some baby acne as a result of the hormones from giving birth. It should clear up at about 3 months.
4. He started looking jaundiced again, so I took him to get checked. He has "breast milk jaundice" and will be fine. Some babies that are breast fed always look a little jaundiced for the first 3 months or so. There are no long lasting effects and he is perfectly healthy :)
5. The first month well visit check-up! Here are his stats:
weight: 12 lbs -- 92%
height: 23"-- 89%
head circumference: 15" -- 41%
He is a healthy, growing baby boy! All of our questions were answered and he is doing just fine! He has now started sleeping in his own room in his crib. We moved the pack n' play downstairs so he can take his naps where it is cooler. He still only stays in his bed about half the night. He prefers to sleep on his tummy, but I am too scared to have him sleep in the other room on his tummy, so he still sleeps with us when he doesn't want to be on his back. We are looking into a baby monitor that sets off an alarm if your baby stops breathing. My sister has one for Royce, her tummy sleeper, and recommended it. The good news is, even though he wakes up every 2-3 hours at night to eat, he goes right back to sleep! He stays awake a lot more during the day, but we haven't had an alert period during the night in about a week! Now we just need those feedings to stretch to 4 and 5 hours.... :)

I have the monitor you are talking about and I LOVE it!!! I am using it with Brooke and used it with Kayli when she was a baby. I highly recommend it, it puts your mind more at ease. See you soon!!!
