We started having tummy time with Isaac this past week. He likes to lay on his stomach on your chest, so he has lots of unofficial tummy time during the day. But we have been spending a couple of minutes a few times a day on his play mat to practice. He has been lifting his head a little bit since the second day we brought him home. His neck muscles are getting stronger and he is getting better at lifting his head.
Here is Day 1 of tummy time. As you can tell, he was a little bewildered by the activity and began fussing right away!
Although we always wait to do tummy time until he is awake and active, he can fall asleep pretty quickly! Today, he simply fell asleep as soon as he hit the mat. It made for some cute pictures, though!
