First Doctor Appointment

Isaac all ready for the trip to the doctor! Isn't he cute?!

Wow! Is Isaac already a week old?? It has been an incredible week for Larry and I. We both love being parents to the cutest, sweetest little boy! He had his first appointment yesterday. He has a touch of jaundice, so the doctor suggested we lay him by a window and we can feed him every hour and a half, rather than every two hours. Of course, the last day or so it has been cloudy and rainy, but he has been staying by the window and we sat outside for a bit when the sun was still out. 

While at the doctor, we were also given his first set of percentages:

Weight: 8 lbs, 9 oz - 59% (He was 9 lbs when he was born, and 8 lbs 5 oz when we left the hospital. So he is gaining his weight back, which is good!) 

Head Size: 14 in-- 32% (I must admit, I am very thankful for his cute little head since I'm the one who pushed it out! :)

Height: 21.5 inches-- 90% (WOW!)

Everything else went well. I was mostly concerned about him getting enough to eat. I've been pumping and feeding him out of the bottle because he won't stay awake long enough to eat and I was worried about his intake. The doctor encouraged me to continue feeding him this way. So far it's been working out. 

I have to take him back to the doctor tomorrow (Thursday) to get his levels checked again for the jaundice. Keep him in your prayers that his body is able to clear itself and get him healthy!
